Drum Stool

One of the most overlooked pieces when putting together a drum kit is the drum stool. They may not be able to create any sound, but it compliments the most important component of the instrument, the drummer. Some may think that drummers can use any other chair when playing. This may be possible but it would not be very convenient. Factors that musicians need to consider are the height and space that this throne will take up. The player would need to have instant access to any component of the kit. The arms and limbs of a person should be able to reach the nearest and farthest part of the drum when needed. And to top it all off, the seat needs to be very comfortable.

There are so many variations of drum stools to choose from. The most important option is for the seat to be height-adjustable. Many of the modern drum thrones feature an air lift function for adjustments. Second important factor to consider would be stability. People need to make sure that stool is stable and doesn’t wobble. Another factor is durability. A throne may be made of thick metal legs or double-braced legs to hold even the heaviest of drummers. Not to be overlooked is comfort. There should be proper amount of cushioning on the seat, so that the player would not strain the rear end of the body. Many upper scale thrones feature a contoured seat, and even a small backrest for drummers to have the most comfortable drumming experience.
