There are two types of bass drum pedals; single and double bass drum pedals. Base on the name, you would obviously know when they are being used. Many popular drummers use double bass drum pedals to produce more impact to their sound. A drum pedal works like the hi-hat pedal wherein your foot will press the footplate to pull the belt and bring the beater toward the bass drumhead to produce the sound.
